The need
Three sets of double-French doors connect the kitchen to the extensive private backyard. A large patio, custom-designed pool, and dining area create a true retreat that is perfect for entertaining. It was important for the homeowners to be able to keep the double-French doors open in order to move freely between the two areas without having to worry about the bugs, the heat, or the UV rays.
The solution
The homeowners selected Phantom’s retractable door screens as a functional and design-friendly solution. The screens are only visible when in use, connecting the two areas and providing easy access to the backyard when needed. The solar mesh of the screens blocks the heat from entering the air-conditioned interior spaces, yet maintains the feeling of openness and connectivity to the outdoors.
